I can capture that.

READ ALL OF THE DETAILS

What if you could remember the exact look on your partner's face when you read your vows?

The tear down your mom's cheek as she first saw you, wedding ready and in love.

Your dad realizing his kid is not a kid anymore.

The friends you hoped would meet falling for each other in a corner.

Your people screaming with joy when you say "I do."

The movement of your dress when you finally get to dance.

MY APPROACH

To me, a wedding isn’t a photoshoot. I care minimally about posed portraits, trends, and timelines. I don’t care at all if you do or don’t want to do a first look or if you want to cut a cake or choreograph a grand entrance or exit.

There is already a story in motion and a damn good one at that. In any story there is always a who, a what, a when, a where, and a why.

I want to know who the main characters are — you and your partner, the wedding party, the best friends, the parents, and the loud (and probably drunk) uncles. I want to see people interact vibrantly on the dance floor and the others that comfortably never leave their seats. I want to know what you want your wedding day to look and feel like and understand the tangible pieces that brought it all together. I want to photograph you in the calm of the morning and in the wild of the night or maybe it’s the reverse? Maybe it’s a raucous morning and a chilly, calm evening by a fire in the fall. Tell me what it is about this place that you’ve chosen that made you say, “this is it”.

I want to know why we’re here and the ways in which you knew that this person and this life were for you.

My process leading up to a wedding day is a bit unconventional (believe me, it’ll be fun). It requires openness, vulnerabilty, and a good deal of trust.

I promise the story we tell will be worth it and more importantly,
undeniably yours.

inquire

Every wedding I’ve ever photographed has been different from the one before it. I don’t believe in putting weddings in a 6, 8, or 10 hour box. You shouldn’t have to compromise uninterrupted joy to make sure you get a photo of the cake cutting before the photographer leaves or do a fake exit. I want to tell the full story of your day, not the abridged version. With full day coverage, I’m there for as long as I’m needed and as long as there is still more story to tell.

There are also coverage options for engagement sessions, bridal sessions, rehearsal, and full wedding weekends. Courthouse wedding coverage is also available.

Each inquiry is given a custom quote based on specific needs and location of event.

All weddings are shot on digital and film.

WORDS

KIND

Run don't walk. Mady is the absolute best decision we made for our wedding. I went into wedding planning feeling extraordinarily overwhelmed by the industry of it all and resistant to a lot of the expectations around what you're "supposed" to do -- getting to speak with Mady was a much-needed breath of fresh air. She not only validated but celebrated my feelings and offered herself as a resource from the get-go. I knew from our first chat that her calm, warm demeanor was exactly what we wanted (and needed!). Besides being an incredible human and a joy to be around, her artistry is truly exceptional. We wanted a more organic, elevated, documentary-style approach for our wedding photos. This type of work takes an incredible eye, a keen intuition, and real mastery of the camera. Mady has all of these, and somehow makes it feel effortless. The photos we got back are drop-dead gorgeous and something we will treasure for a lifetime.

FROM Hannah & Adam

We booked Mady for our wedding before we had a date or a venue. From the beginning, we knew that the photography was one of the most important aspects of our wedding day and we wanted to find the best person possible to capture our photos for us. We found that, and more, in Mady. Throughout the entire process, Mady was a friend to us. We had gotten professional photos taken together in the past, but we always felt a little bit uncomfortable and awkward during them. We always felt like ourselves with Mady and that's clear in every picture she took of us. Beyond finding amazing vendors to work with, we were also interested in finding vendors who were affirming of the love that we shared. Mady is one of the only vendors we came across who used gender neutral language on her website and within her contracts. She understood our experience in planning an LGBTQ wedding and that meant a lot to us. We can't say enough good things about Mady and are so grateful that we found her. If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding day, she's the one! We promise you won't regret it.

FROM Caitlyn & Farris

Her demeanor throughout the day was phenomenal; funny, warm and incredibly relaxing to be around. My wife and I are very much awkward when it comes to being photographed, and truly the day did not feel awkward or uncomfortable at all. She helped direct us and our family and friends to capture truly amazing photos. We were quite picky when it came to our wedding photos, and we loved the warm, candid and true photos that Mady promised and delivered for our wedding. Her folio is a true representation of her work. For all the juggling that she had to do on the day; she was the calm in the storm that is a wedding, and there was not a moment where we did not feel like we were priority number 1. We felt so calm and did not feel a single concern or worry the entire day. Stop looking! You've found your wedding photographer; you don't want anyone else other than Mady to photograph the most important day of your lives!
